About the role

 In this role, you will apply your hands-on experience to be an important member in one of our agile development teams, collaborating with product owners and engineers throughout the software development process to refine and groom requirements, design test cases, perform both manual and automated testing, and serve as a champion of quality within the team.

Key responsibilities in this role will include:

  • Work with the Test Manager to plan, prepare and execute testing 
  • Deliver testing to a high standard
  • Design, develop and execute test scripts using appropriate tools and methodologies
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved, and also review and provide feedback to tests written by developers.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products and their ongoing releases.
  • Installation, configuration and maintenance of testing environments.
  • Participate in estimation and planning of testing activities during sprint planning. Liaise with the development team and product owners to identify where tests and test plans are required.
  • Developing and automating the execution of tests where appropriate.

Experience and Skills:

  • Degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field, ISTQB certification
  • Proven experience in software quality assurance, with strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Experience with Front end web testing, User Acceptance Testing and UI/UX,. 
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to understand software systems as a whole while working in an agile development environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Working/hands-on experience in Zephyr, JIRA, TOSCA
  • Ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment and work to deadlines
  • Minimum 3 years as a technical and business tester, with experience across different testing phases(Integration, System, BAT).
  • Relevant experience in creating and maintaining defects
  • Experience with automation testing will be highly regarded – this can be UI or API testing, Selenium, Cypress frameworks and REST Assured.
  • Proficiency in Javascript, TypeScript,  solid knowledge and use of SQL and scripting(Nice to have)
