Senior UX Designer

The role

We’re looking for an experienced Senior User Experience (UX) Designer to help us shape the future of business finance. As the first Senior UX Designer in the Lendi Design team, you will report to the Head of Product and work directly with the Founders, Product and Engineering teams to help define and deliver innovative products that our customers and staff love to use. You will be supported by two exceptional UX Designers and a UI Senior. It’s an exciting opportunity that will allow the successful candidate to see products through from concept to launch and continuous optimisation thereafter. Location is Circular Quay, Sydney CBD.

 

About the Lendi Design Team

The Lendi Design team is responsible for the UX and UI of all platform touchpoints used by our customers and Lendi team. We break down the complexity of multiple lenders (37 in total) to bring our customers a seamless home loan journey, well that’s what we need your help with. Our Design team are at the forefront  of problem-solving, and user research helps inform and discover the right problems to solve. Our approach is hypothesis-led and our decision making is evidence-based. You’ll work with a Product Manager and a dedicated Tech Lead.

 

About you

The ideal candidate for this role should have +5 years’ experience in design skillsets: a UX generalist with broad experience across the breadth of UX skills in research, design and testing, with depth of experience in one UX skillset. You need to be a self-starter and being fully responsible for the end-to-end execution of all user experience activities. In addition, you’ll work along side and help guide our existing UX team and potentially implement new UX process.

 

Your experience and skills:

  • Ability to speak with stakeholders to elicit their goals and ideas of how interactions and interfaces should work
  • Ability to communicate discoveries from research and explain the thinking behind design concepts
  • Sufficient understanding of Technology and development to estimate what is and what is not difficult to implement
  • Prototyping skills
  • Portfolio of prior work on mobile, tablet and desktop
  • Design workflow
  • Skills in sketching to visualise design concepts are a plus
  • Implement teamwide design process
  • Play nice with others

 

What you’ll do

Working across our Lendi platform (desktop & mobile web) for highly transactional processes, you’ll delve into everything from consumer funnels, onboarding, 3rd party services and the overly complex demands of home loans including:

  • Design
  • Faciliatation of our workshops to generate and refine ideas
  • Testing
  • Delivery
